Unfortunately, at the other end of the phone is an annoying automated voice instructing you to "vote for Jane Doe" for city council. Or someone trying to sell you on the latest insurance products. You check Caller-ID, but it's too late. Your sleep has been interrputed by this annoying solicitor.

Enter TelemarketerCatcher.com. We started this site in 2008 as a public forum for people to share information about these telemarketers. And it works! It turns out that many of them do use Caller ID, because they know that most residential phone customers are already pretty skeptical about calls from blocked numbers.

Our databse now contains thousands of complaints about phone marketers of all stripes. You can use the site to look up a number and determine whether it's a marketer, or more importantly to publish your own complaint as a warning to others.
